The New York International Auto Show once again opened with a bang at New York’s Jacob Javits Convention Center. This is our 15th year covering this show and it is always exciting preparing for our coverage of the best show held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
Now as many of our readers know we cover most of the major and some of the smaller shows at the convention center, but none offer the media advance access as does the Auto Show. Members of the media are invited to spend two days before the opening of the show to the public. By doing so we can get the news on what is new and what to expect in the future our to our readers and viewers.

On our first Press Only Day we were introduced to some of the newest and most technologically advanced vehicles in the market and were excited to hear about some of the future plans for the most economical and fuel-efficient vehicles coming our way. Honda announced that in 2030 they expected 2/3rd’s of their line will be “electrified”. This year we can expect to see a new “Dedicated Honda Hybrid Car”. The move to hybrids and electric vehicles was apparent at the show. Every manufacturer we visited was committed to safer and more energy-efficient and technologically advanced vehicles.
This show is so big that we decided to attend both Press Only Days and on Easter Sunday after covering the Easter Bonnet Parade on 5th Ave., we would return to the Auto Show to capture the excitement from those that visited the show. It has now become our annual Easter Day event…the parade and the New York International Auto Show.
