       | Cinemark TheatersFinally we have a movie theater we can be proud of in Hazlet. Once the spot of the Hazlet Drive in, than came the current theater which was OK for years. It was sold to another chain and than sold the Cinemark chain which operated it under the RAVE name. Once they decided to invest in Hazlet, they changed the name to the parent company Cinemark and completely renovated the theater to today's high standards for movie theaters. It now boasts leather reclining seats, stadium seating, new digital projection and sound equipment, reserved seating and online ticket ordering as well as kiosks in the lobby. We traveled for the past few years to see our movies at the AMC theaters in the Freehold Raceway Mall and paid $13.75 for a movie ticket. No there is no need to drive 30 minutes because we have our own luxurious theater in the Costco shopping center on Route 35 North. Now you can take advantage of their promotional days too. Monday is for Seniors @ $5.75 per ticket. Tuesday is for everyone all day at $5.50. There are also early bird promos and a number of others so check their website for more info. If you shop at Costco, pick up some of the Cinemark passes there at $16.99 for two. This is good to have if you want to get tickets for a Friday or Saturday or anytime that is not a promotional day. Instead of paying the $13.75 for one ticket you pay $8.50. We like to buy our tickets days in advance for the special priced days. This way we can be sure to get the best seats in the house. No need to wait until the day of the movie since this theater is so close to all of us now. Another feature we should mention for those that love to spend tons of money on the food stand in theaters...they have it all and also have a beautiful seating area with tables and chairs, so if you are early for a movie, you can relax and have a tall drink, eat some popcorn or just play with your iPad until you are ready to enter your theater.
